This safari highlights the mighty Luangwa and Zambezi Rivers and the impressive variety of habitats, diversity and wildlife in Zambia.  South Luangwa National Park - is one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world and known for its big cat sightings and often referred to as the Valley of the Leopard.  South Luangwa is considered one of the best places in Africa to do a walking safari.

  • Day 1: Johannesburg / Mfuwe Airport (South Luangwa NP) / South Luangwa

    The package includes return economy airfare with ProFlight from Johannesburg to Mfuwe Airport (departing at 12h00, arriving at 17h45), the gateway to South Luangwa. On arrival at the airport, your safari guide will meet you for your transfer to the camp. Enjoy a game drive en route to Chikunto Safari Lodge, located deeper in the park than most lodges, where we will stay for 5 nights. 

    Stay: Chikunto Safari Lodge (Tented Suite)

    Meals: Dinner, breakfast, lunch and a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks 

  • Day 2, 3, 4 & 5: South Luangwa National Park

    Set out on incredible game drives, night drives, boat safaris, walking safaris and scenic sundowner trips in the surrounding area. Alternatively, settle in a deckchair at the lodge and watch the abundance of game drawn to the river. The game is excellent in this park area, and as it is in such a remote area, you are unlikely to see other vehicles.

    We highly recommend a night drive as it gives you a fantastic chance to see a leopard.

    Stay another 4 nights: Chikunto Safari Lodge (Tented Suite)

    Meals: Dinner, breakfast, lunch and a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

  • Day 5: Mfuwe Airport / Johannesburg

    Start your day with breakfast, followed by a game-viewing transfer through the remarkable South Luangwa National Park to Mfuwe Airport for your onward flight home (departing at 12h20, arriving at 18h05).
