One of Kenya’s oldest and largest national parks, covering approximately 13,747 km² and known for its vast open landscapes and red-dust-coated elephants. The park is characterised by semi-arid plains, savannah grasslands, and the Galana River, which attracts a wide variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, giraffes, and numerous bird species. Its expansive scenery and relative openness make Tsavo East ideal for classic game-viewing and photographic safaris.
