A semi-arid reserve of about 165 km², located in northern Kenya along the Ewaso Ng’iro River. Famous for species unique to the region, such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, and Beisa oryx (known as the Samburu Special Five). The river attracts elephants, lions, leopards, and wild dogs, while the surrounding acacia woodland and grassland provide a habitat for over 450 bird species.
